Testimonials

We love hearing from our campers!

We loved it here! It's nice and clean, quiet and relaxing. Liked the walking trail as well. The bathroom and shower area are clean and handy. The owners are accommodating and very nice. It's great that they bring the wood bundles right to you! We are going back again. Enjoyed every second of being there.

— Janice

Great place to camp! Matt went above and beyond from helping us back in our long motorhome to answering any of our questions. The bathroom/showerhouse was always very clean and nice and we love all the trees! We will definitely book at the Mellow Moose Campground again!

— Sherrill

Excellent, well maintained and cared for campground. The washrooms/showers were always clean and available. Wifi near office was quick. Great place to camp!

— Matthew

Nice campground, very friendly staff. Easy to park with pull-through site. Train tracks on edge but only two trains the time we were there, about 18 hours. Close to town. Lots of shade.

How often does the train go by? Does it blow its horn at night?

The number of trains passing by can vary each day. Some days you may hear just one train, while on others, they might pass every few hours. There are nearby crossings, so you will hear the train's horn as it passes. However, Mellow Moose is located in a peaceful neighborhood, offering a relaxing environment. If you'd prefer more distance from the train, sites 40-48 are the furthest away and provide a quieter experience.
